Provence är en region i den soliga, sydöstra hörnan av Frankrike. Det egentliga Provence sträcker sig från parfymbyn Grasse i öst till Rhône-dalen i väst, från de alpina alper i norr till Medelhavet i söder. Även om det geografiskt sett inte är helt korrekt, så räknas den franska Rivieran i dag också till Provence, som då omfattar departementerna: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence samt Alpes Maritimes. Dessutom har vi valt att tage med departementen Drôme och Ardèche under området Provence-Côte d´Azur, då många av våra semesterboenden här ligger nära den naturliga gränsen för Provence-Côte d´Azur. Languedoc-Roussillon
Semesterboende Languedoc-Roussillon Languedoc-Roussillon er en region i den sydlige del af Frankrig. Området grænser op til den spanske grænse, Andorra og Middelhavet samt de følgende franske regioner: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne og Midi-Pyrénées. Languedoc-Roussillon strækker sig således fra Camargue (Rhônedeltaet) i øst til den store Naurouze bakkekam i vest, fra Cevennernes bjergtoppe i nord til de imponerende pyrænæer i syd. Ligurien
Ferieboliger Ligurien Ligurien eller Liguria er en region i det nordvestlige Italien, grænsende til Frankrig i vest, Piemonte i nord samt Emilia-Romagna og Toscana i øst. Ligurien er Italiens tredje mindste region og omfatter provinserne: Imperia, Savona, Genova og La Specia. Lugurien har et areal på ca. 5.418 km2 og knap 1,6 millioner indbyggere. 80% af Liguriens befolkning er koncentreret i byerne langs den vestlige kyststrækning, Riviera di Ponente, bedre kendt som den italienske riviera. Nyons
Nyons is primarily well-known for its tremendously fertile soil, its very special light and mild climate with 300 sunny days a year. In Nyons there are good possibilities for relaxing in the wonderful surrounding countryside and/or for exciting activities with sport and interesting trips. The area around Nyons offers a wide range of sports activities including golfing, walking and hiking, cycling, skiing, horseback riding, climbing and paragliding.

- Markets: There are markets every day in the area. The two biggest are in Nyons (Thursday) and in Vaison-la-Romaine (Tuesday). Carpentras, situated 44 km from Nyons, has a huge market on Friday.

- Walking and hiking tours in wonderful surroundings

- Cycling: Challenges for everyone – both experienced and families with children. There are several scenic tours to other villages in the area, many easy mountain routes as well as the difficult Mont Ventoux route.

Sevärdigheter i Nyons
- The remains of the town wall.
- La Tour Randonne, tower from the 13th century with its fantastic bell tower.
- Le Quartier des Forts with its narrow winding streets and vaults.
- Olive museum
- Roman bridge from the 14th century (historical monument).
Nyons lies beautifully in the heart of Drôme Provençale, at the border of the lowland and the mountains.
To the east rise the Pre Alps with heights of 1000 metres or more and to the west the landscape changes character towards the plains of the Rhône.
Nyons is, with its 6,500 inhabitants, one of the main towns in the region.
It is situated at 270 metres altitude, looking south and well protected, by two mountain ranges, from the Mistral wind, which blows through the Rhône valley from the north. Nyons is set in lush countryside by the Eygues river, surrounded by lavender fields, olive groves and vineyards, close to the famous wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas.Nyons is not overrun by tourists and the town and its region do not give the impression of being worn down by too many visitors.
The medieval “grand” village of Nyons has a great many attractions.
The beautiful old bridge, crossing high over Eygues dates from the 14th century. It is fairly narrow, but it is still in use. Don’t miss crossing the bridge by foot and enjoy the spectacular views of beautiful landscape to all sides. In Nyons you will find several pretty squares such as Place de la Libération, with its many plane trees, and Place du Dr. Bourdongle, with its arcades full of all kinds of shops. One of the town’s most curious sights is the streets and alleys around Rue des Grands Forts. The streets all lead to the town’s old forts which are built into the fortifications. Walking in Rue des Grands Forts or especially in its parallel street, is a walk under covered vaulted passages which have been inhabited for centuries. A stroll through these narrow alleys is like a travel back in time.
The very mild climate has made Nyons the centre for olive production in Provence.
The small wrinkled, black olives from Nyons carry the quality stamp, Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée.Nyons is a town with all sorts of shopping possibilities, restaurants and markets.
Of local specialities can be mentioned: olives, apricots, cherries, honey, truffles, lavender, lime blossom flowers, wine and cheese.Vi har 4 semesterhuse i eller nära Nyons
