Provence är en region i den soliga, sydöstra hörnan av Frankrike. Det egentliga Provence sträcker sig från parfymbyn Grasse i öst till Rhône-dalen i väst, från de alpina alper i norr till Medelhavet i söder. Även om det geografiskt sett inte är helt korrekt, så räknas den franska Rivieran i dag också till Provence, som då omfattar departementerna: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence och Alpes-Maritimes. Dessutom har vi valt att tage med departementen Drôme och Ardèche under området Provence-Côte d´Azur, då många av våra semesterboenden här ligger nära den naturliga gränsen för Provence-Côte d´Azur. Languedoc-Roussillon
Semesterboende Languedoc-Roussillon Languedoc-Roussillon er en region i den sydlige del af Frankrig. Området grænser op til den spanske grænse, Andorra og Middelhavet samt de følgende franske regioner: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne og Midi-Pyrénées. Ligurien
Ferieboliger Ligurien Ligurien eller Liguria er en region i det nordvestlige Italien, grænsende til Frankrig i vest, Piemonte i nord samt Emilia-Romagna og Toscana i øst. Ligurien er Italiens tredje mindste region og omfatter provinserne: Imperia, Savona, Genova og La Specia. Lugurien har et areal på ca. 5.418 km2 og knap 1,6 millioner indbyggere. 80% af Liguriens befolkning er koncentreret i byerne langs den vestlige kyststrækning, Riviera di Ponente, bedre kendt som den italienske riviera. Marche
Marche är en av Italiens mindre kända regioner som ännu inte har riktigt har uppvikt som turistmål bland skandinaver. Men även om regionen kommer alltid att stå i skuggan av Toscana och Umbrien, så att du kan njuta av en varierad kustlinje vid Adriatiska havet med vita sandstränder och höga klippor, storslagna landskap och många historiska attraktioner. Toulon is the capital city in the department of Var and France’s biggest naval port in the Mediterranean. Toulon lies beautifully out onto a natural harbour with a backdrop of mountain slopes between Marseille and St-Tropez. Provacances offers holiday houses in the nearby beach resorts, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Sanary-sur-Mer and Carquieranne. The coastline of Toulon has fine sandy beaches with all sorts of water activities available.

- Climbing: Climbers from all over Europe come to this place to climb in les Calenques at Cassis. You can either start from places of easy access (by walking or driving) or you can start directly from the water. At several places the cliffs rise vertically up to 240 metres above the sea level. Climbers who start from the seaside can either sail in small boats or tourist boats - les navettes - from the harbour of Cassis.

Sevärdigheter i Toulon
- Musée d’Art de Toulon: Art museum, home of a permanent collection of traditional and modern Provencal paintings. The museum’s first floor houses different exhibits of works of international artists.
- Mont Faron with its fortress, Tour Beaumont.
- Musée du Vieux Toulon: Mainly concentrated on the young Napoleon and his efforts to defend Toulon. There are also old weapons as well as several historical sketches of Puget.
- The old part of the city, La Cité.
- Cathédrale Ste-Marie-Majeure: The city’s cathedral from the 11th century, renovated – and extended - in classical style in the 17th century. Home of several works of Puget and Jean Baptiste Van Loo (1684-1745) and a beautiful Baroque altar.
- The big theatre and opera house.
- Musée de la Marine: The very fine entrance to the museum has impressive statues of Mars and Bellona. You will find two enormous model galleons from the 18th century (similar ones were training ships in earlier days), a model of Barbarossa’s galley, several stems and figureheads as well as two wooden figures made by Pierre Puget.
Toulon does not have extraordinary attractions, but the old quarter, La Cité, or Basse Ville, as it is also called, has a labyrinth of narrow winding streets, covered passages, charming squares like Place Puget, Place Trois Dauphine and Camille Ledeau with pleasant cafés, restaurants and old fountains.
The old quarter also has lots of fine little shops and in the morning fish, vegetables and flowers are sold from stalls in Cours Lafayette.
At Place Victor Hugo one can find a beautiful theatre and opera house, and to the south a network of alleys lead to the harbour.
Unfortunately, the port area is completely without charm, due to the dirty buzzing Avenue de la République, which is parallel to the harbour-street. This area was destroyed during the Second World War and the houses, constructed after were made out of bad materials.The greatest sight is to be found out of the city.
From the suburb Super Toulon, there is a cable car to the top of Mont Faron with its fortress, Tour Beaumont, transformed into a memorial hall for the city’s liberators from 1944. You can drive up there, but the greatest experience is without doubt to go with the cable car. The views are quite outstanding.Vi har 5 semesterhuse i eller nära Toulon
