Provence Côte d'Azur
Provence är en region i den soliga, sydöstra hörnan av Frankrike. Det egentliga Provence sträcker sig från parfymbyn Grasse i öst till Rhône-dalen i väst, från de alpina alper i norr till Medelhavet i söder. Även om det geografiskt sett inte är helt korrekt, så räknas den franska Rivieran i dag också till Provence, som då omfattar departementerna: Bouches-du-Rhône, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence och Alpes-Maritimes. Dessutom har vi valt att tage med departementen Drôme och Ardèche under området Provence-Côte d´Azur, då många av våra semesterboenden här ligger nära den naturliga gränsen för Provence-Côte d´Azur. Languedoc-Roussillon
Semesterboende Languedoc-Roussillon Languedoc-Roussillon er en region i den sydlige del af Frankrig. Området grænser op til den spanske grænse, Andorra og Middelhavet samt de følgende franske regioner: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne og Midi-Pyrénées. Languedoc-Roussillon strækker sig således fra Camargue (Rhônedeltaet) i øst til den store Naurouze bakkekam i vest, fra Cevennernes bjergtoppe i nord til de imponerende pyrænæer i syd. Ligurien
Ferieboliger Ligurien Ligurien eller Liguria er en region i det nordvestlige Italien, grænsende til Frankrig i vest, Piemonte i nord samt Emilia-Romagna og Toscana i øst. Ligurien er Italiens tredje mindste region og omfatter provinserne: Imperia, Savona, Genova og La Specia. Lugurien har et areal på ca. 5.418 km2 og knap 1,6 millioner indbyggere. 80% af Liguriens befolkning er koncentreret i byerne langs den vestlige kyststrækning, Riviera di Ponente, bedre kendt som den italienske riviera. Marche
Marche är en av Italiens mindre kända regioner som ännu inte har riktigt har uppvikt som turistmål bland skandinaver. Men även om regionen kommer alltid att stå i skuggan av Toscana och Umbrien, så att du kan njuta av en varierad kustlinje vid Adriatiska havet med vita sandstränder och höga klippor, storslagna landskap och många historiska attraktioner. The little medieval village Callian lies beautifully at a level of 325 metres in the department of Var between Grasse and Draguignan, and 30 km from Fréjus on the coast. Due to its fantastic situation in beautiful surrounding countryside between the Massif de l’Estérel and the foot hills of the Alps, Callian is a perfect place to spend a holiday.

- There are two restaurants, two bars, a baker, grocer, butcher, tobacco kiosk, a little supermarket, a ladies hairdresser and shops selling local craftwork.
- Walking tours in the area.
- Swimming, water sport and fishing in the nearby lake, Lac de St. Cassien.
- Tennis
- Golf: There are lots of golf courses in the department of Var. Europe’s biggest golf course, Four Seasons Golf Club, in Domaine de Terre Blanche is situated in the village Tourrettes. This is a beautiful big course wit 2x18 holes: www.fourseasons.com/.../golf.html. The French golf union has a home page where you can find most of the courses. Unfortunately this is in French. Sevärdigheter i Callian
- Chapelle Saint Donat.
- Le château fort from the 16th century, with towers from the 12th and 13th century.
- Chapelle Notre Dame des Roses: The oldest building in the town, from the 10th century.
- Chapelle des Pénitents in Roman style from the 12th-13th century – earlier palace-chapel. Houses art exhibitions and cultural events.
- Domaine de Santa Maria: Where the old town wall was found. There is still a tower at the entrance to the town (old people’s home for nuns).
- Ruins of château de la Camiole.
The town is very characteristic with its winding streets and an old feudal castle on the hilltop.
Le château fort, with towers from the 12th and 13th century, was rebuilt in the 17th century. The castle is today privately owned. In the town there are several old buildings, amongst others an old chapel which is used for art exhibitions and classical concerts. The oldest building in the town, the former parish church, Chapelle Notre Dame des Roses, dates back to the 10th century and is an archaeological site with excavations from the Gallo-Roman period. At the very pleasant square, Place de la Bourguignon, in front of the church, there is a pretty cascade. Here it is worth enjoying a drink to the music of the running water.
From a view point in the town, you have the most fantastic view of the lake, Lac de St.
Cassien, which lies close to the town, and the two mountain ranges Estérel and Maures. Christian Dior’s (1905-1957) grave can be seen in the town’s churchyard. He lived in the Château de la Colle in the neighbouring town of Montauroux.Vi har 2 semesterhuse i eller nära Callian
