Holiday home in Skrip

We are delighted to have found this new villa located on the Island of Brac in the charming old village called Skrip only 10km away from Supetar ferry port. This property is in a unique position in a most unspoilt spot on a hill looking down over fabulous sea views. The village of Skrip is absolutely delightful with a collection of old stone houses with wooden shutters; it is the oldest place on the Island and has just 200 inhabitants; it dates from the Antic period hundreds of years before Christ and you can still find stone blocks from the Monolithic Age. There is a famous Museum by the Church of St.Jelena in the village where you can find a lot of pictures and artefacts presenting the history of island Brac. The surrounding area is well known for growing fruit, grape, olive and vegetables. A local shop is only 300 metres from the house and can provide you with everyday needs.

For a better range of shops , bars and excellent restaurants you can go to Splitska (5km) or Supetar (10km). In Splitska you can stroll along a seaside promenade alongside which are a choice of several restaurants with outdoor tables; we recommend «Vala» or «Kod Tonca», both of which serve fresh fish or grilled meats. In Splitska there is also a beautiful pebble beach in a cove with crystal clear waters. You could also drive 10 minutes to the coastal village of Postire which has bars and shops and some good restaurants such as «Bavaria» and «Lipa». The village of Bol is on the south side of the Island about 40 minutes away and has the best beach on Croatia called the «Golden Cape». Also you should make a visit to the highest point on the Island called Vidova Gora (778 metres) which has panoramic views across Dalmatia., as well as a wonderful restaurant serving the best lamb that anyone in Croatian Affair has eaten!

Villa Kolachie is a new villa made with natural materials of wood and stone with a lot of flowers and large covered airy terrace which surrounds the house. You enter the property on the ground floor directly in the spacious air conditioned living/dining area with big sofa, coffee table, TV,DVD, radio with CD as well as a dining table with a chairs to seat 6. Open plan to this is a small kitchen with a cooker with cooking hobs (no oven), dishwasher, little fridge and fitted cupboards. Off the living area is a shower room/wc with washing machine and a double bedroom this has a door to a twin bedroom (also with access from outside terrace) and a shower room/wc .At a lower level is a cellar which you enter from the garden; it has two fridges, a freezer and a cooker (with oven) and is a good area for preparing meals for eating outside or grilling on the barbecue in the garden.

A wooden staircase leads you up from the living area to the first floor which has a big gallery with an open plan double bedroom area plus a separate shower room/WC. The gallery has a balcony with table plus chairs and sea views. From the living/dining area on the ground floor is direct access to the large covered terrace by the pool with splendid sea views, plus dining table and chairs to seat 6 for outdoor meals. An armchair and sofa are also on the terrace in the shade for reading or maybe just dozing. The swimming pool measures 6.5m x 3.5m with roman steps and a constant depth of 1.65m there are sun beds and an outside shower by the pool. The property has a nice garden with a barbecue and colourful flowers.

Bookings with children under 8 years old will not be accepted because the front terrace has a significant drop that make it unsuitable for them.
