Holiday home with pool in Opatija
We are very pleased to offer you this brand new villa, located only 2.5 km away from the coast of Kvarner Bay and Opatija. This beautiful resort area became famous a century ago, when European aristocracy used to spend summer holidays in this part of the Croatia. Today, a chain of gorgeous Habsburg''s villas framing the coast bear witness the history and culture of the town. Most of these villas were built in the finest Secessionist style and are ranked as cultural monuments. The best way to enjoy this beautiful architecture is by walking along 'lungomare' - a 12 km long romantic path by the sea which connects the smaller villages of the Opatija riviera. All along this area you will find the best fish restaurants in the country; just to name a few of them: Bevanda, Plavi Podrum, Amfora, Mandrac. Also, there are plenty of boutiques, bars, patisseries, and casinos around; the most famous beaches are Medveja and Moscenicka Draga both just a short drive away. A very good restaurant ''Zlatni'' (Golden) is 5 minutes walk away from the villa and the same distance is a grocery shop; in Opatija centre are supermarkets as well as a fish market, and a fruit and vegetable market.
This modern house is a semi-detached property located in a residential area above Opatija, on the slopes of the Ucka mountain. You have a 8m x 4m swimming pool in a lawned garden,which is separated from your neighbours (who have their own pool and garden) by a wall.At a slightly lower level is a floodlit all weather private tennis court, ideal for night games, when the summer air cools down.
You enter on the first floor into the main open plan living area. This consists of a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, oven, dishwasher plus fridge/freezer, and adjacent dining table and chairs for 10. Open plan to this is the lounge area with a large L-shaped sofa, a flat screen satellite TV with DVD, and a fireplace. A spacious terrace with a view of the garden and pool is accessed fromthe living area. There is also a separate wc on this level.
On the top floor is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room/wc, a second double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom/wc with a hydromassaging bath and a washing machine. All bedrooms have access to the large balcony that runs the full length of the house. On the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a shower room/wc. An excercise and entertainment room is on the ground floor as well. This has table tennis, a football table, plus fitness equipment: a bicycle, running machine, cross trainer and weights. The doors from the ground floor open onto the garden with its pool, sunterrace and sunloungers.
The property is air conditioned with one aircon unit per floor, as well as having underfloor heating if necessary for out of season stays. Via a separate entrance is a Finnish sauna and indoor heated Jacuzzi pool for 5 people for which you pay extra locally to use.
