This is a wonderful place to be: quietly situated amongst lush pine trees, with fabulous views over the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, and four minutes walk from the local winery for good measure!
Trstenik, is only 15 minutes walk; it is a beautiful, romantic fishing village with a population of about 110 people, although during the summer season this grows to a more bustling village atmosphere. Locals are extremely friendly and within the village are several cafés and restaurants, as well as a market and shop. You can buy wonderful quality fresh fish every day in Janjina, which is 300m from the centre. A one hour ferry ride from Prapratna (30km away) is the Island of Mljet, famous for its two saltwater lakes and 12thC Benedictine monastery. Travelling beyond Trstenik for 25km is the town of Orebic, which in the holiday season has an hourly connection by ferry to the Island of Korcula.

DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION

The house is approached via a short drive through the pine trees; it is private and encompassed within its own stone boundary walls. The front door leads into the upper level and a small hallway off which is a shower room/WC with a washing machine. The hallway opens into a large open-plan living room with air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, comfortable seating plus a fully equipped kitchen area on the left side of the room with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. At the end of the room are large patio doors which lead onto a fabulous terrace with spectacular views over Trstenik Bay and Korcula.
There are three bedrooms. One has a double bed with satellite TV; one has twin beds and doors leading onto the terrace; and the third bedroom with a single bed plus sofa bed, has either its own separate outside entrance, or can be accessed through a small lobby via the double bedroom previously mentioned. There is a shower room/WC adjacent to this room. One other room is locked for storage. The lower level of the property is accessed by external stairs from the side of the house. It has an open-plan living room with satellite TV, and kitchenette, off which are two double bedrooms and a shower room/WC. Patio doors from the living room slide open to lead onto a terrace with a electric grill, a delightful 7m x 5.5m swimming pool with outside showers and well tendered borders.

Getting there: Sunday arrival at Dubrovnik. Drive 1 hour 30 minutes.
