Holiday home in Ruzidi
Surrounded by rolling hills lies the little hamlet of Ruzici which consists of less than 5 houses, one of them is an old stone farmhouse restored into a lovely comfor-table holiday house. It is at the edge of the hamlet and has nice gardens that stretch from the side of the house towards the surrounding vineyards. Ruzici hamlet is 2km away from Sv. Martinski, a village where you will find a grocer and a restaurant with Istrian cuisine called Pineta, one of the best in this area. Supermarkets and a fruit and vegetable market are in the lovely old village of Labin which is 15 minutes drive away; from here to Rabac is another 5 minutes drive, where a real summer buzz goes on every day and evening.
Gracisce, an old hilltop town is 20 minutes drive and here you will find the best prosciutto and cheese in Istria, in a charming old resturant called Marino. From Ruzici you can easily go to well known Istrian towns, such as Motovun, Pula, Rovinj or Porec.
The house is air-conditionedon both floors; it is entered from the front garden: the kitchen is on the right, the living room on the left, and between them is a separate wc. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge and a freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and cooker; a centrally placed stone fireplace is there to warm up the house during cool spring and autumn evenings. A table for 6 is by the fireplace. The living room is spacious, furnished with a comfortable sofa, 2 armchairs and satellite TV. A wooden staircase leads upstairs to a spacious double bedroom and a smaller twin bedroom both with nice views of the fields. A shower room/wc with a washing machine is shared between the two bedrooms.
Outside in the garden a thick wooden table is shaded by a walnut tree; a 8m x 4m swimming pool with rounded edges is in the garden, next to it is a built in barbecue.
